RULES FOR CHEERLEADING COMPETITION 2024

Ages of Wee Pees: 4-5 year olds
Ages of Pee Wees: 6-7 year olds
Ages of Juniors: 8-9 year olds
Ages of Seniors: 10-12 year olds
In the event a cheerleading team does not have a football team to cheer for in their age group, that team may cheer with the next closest age groups cheerleading team during season play and compete in their correct age group for competition.
A. Coach limit:
1. 4/5 squad and 6/7 squads may have coaches to set them up in position before competition time starts and a max of 3 coaches may stand in front of children behind the sidelines to help them during routine. Coaches cannot step across sideline onto field after time has started or after routine is finished. Result will be disqualification.
2. 8/9 squads and 10/11 squads are not allowed to have any coaches help during competition. Only spotters are allowed on the field. The spotters must be behind the team until needed for stunts.
B. Dance, Formation, Chants and/or Cheers
1. 4/5 squad and 6/7 squads must do a dance and a cheer and/or chant.
2. 8/9 squad and 10/11 squads must do a formation change, a dance, cheer and/or chant.
3. If signs are used they must be carried on and off the field by cheerleader(s).
4. Cheerleaders uniforms: Cheerleaders must wear cheerleading uniform, no props or costumes. (If it is cold, warm-ups and tights may be worn.) (Earrings, Necklaces, Bracelets, Rings, Etc. are not allowed.)
C. Stunts and Pyramids:
1. All teams must do a stunt and/or pyramid.
2. 4/5 squads cannot go higher than the waist and may not extend leg above waist high. They must have 1 back spot (a cheerleader).
