Little Blue

The board has developed rules that we feel are necessary and beneficial for the Bledsoe County Little Blue League. If you have any questions or concerns about any of the following rules, please address those issues to a board member. These rules will be strictly enforced. If you have family/friends attending games with you, it is your responsibility to inform them of the rules. Let’s remember that this is a fun league for the children of Bledsoe County, it is our job as parents/guardians to lead by example.
*Head coaches are chosen by the board, both football and cheer have a league representative and part of their duties include recruiting coaches.
*Head coaches are allowed to choose their own assistants, pending they meet all requirements set forth by the league.
*Each football team will receive 5 coach passes. 1 for the head coach and up to 4 for assistant coaches.
*Each Cheer team will receive 2 coach passes, 1 for head coach and one for an assistant.
*ALL board members and coaching staff must pass a state background check.
*Training in concussion in sports, sudden cardiac arrest as well as heat exhaustion is all mandatory for new coaches.
*No parents/guardians are allowed on the field during practices unless approved by the team coaching staff, absolutely no one without a league pass is to be on the field during a game.
*Foul language, threats of violence or inappropriate behavior towards coaches, board members or referees will NOT be tolerated. You will be asked to leave and escorted off the property immediately. The situation will be reviewed by the board and suspension or expulsion could be a punishment for this type of behavior. This applies at our home field or any field we may be a guest at. This is an SVC league rule, it could cost the team the game or even Harvest Bowl.
*If you have an issue with your child’s coach, please contact any board member to address the situation.
*Any verbal or physical altercation with your child’s coach in front of the team will result in you being asked to leave the premises. Subject to the same penalties as previously stated.
* Do not scream or make a scene with a referee. This is a SVC league rule, it could cost the team the game or even Harvest Bowl. Remember that referees are humans and will make mistakes.
*Service animals only inside the facility.
*Drinking or the use of drugs are STRICTLY prohibited inside all facilities. This is a zero-tolerance policy.
*If your child needs sponsorship for the season, it is a requirement that you volunteer. We have endless amounts of volunteer opportunities, and your coaches will be reaching out to you throughout the season to fulfill those requirements.
*Attendance at practice and games is strongly encouraged. We understand circumstances arise, please be courteous and notify your coach ASAP if you will not be attending. Remember, this is a team. Teams require consistency and dedication.
*Football playing time will be dependent on how your child does in practice. Examples include attendance, effort, willingness to learn and attentiveness. Football is all about who wants it more and is willing to work the hardest. You signed up to practice, playing time is a bonus.
*If you see trash around you, be it at our home field or a guest field, please do your part to help pick it up. Respect your space and those of others. We take pride in our facility and want to keep it looking its best and when we visit, we always want to leave it better than we found it.
* We are ALWAYS in need of volunteers, this ranges from garbage pickup, restroom maintenance, concessions, chains, etc. Please reach out to any coach or board member for ways you can help.
* A parent or guardian must be present for all games and practices.
*As a board, we are here to help and listen. We have an open-door policy for all suggestions and are open to hearing any issues you may have.
